NEPAL KATHMANDU | Durbar Square & Pashupatinath Temple
On this video we prepared short 4K movie from Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple & city center from Kathmandu Nepal travel. Nepal is a country in South Asia and located mainly in the Himalayas, but also includes parts of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. Kathmandu is the capital city of the country.
Durbar Square in front of the old royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom is one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Pashupatinath is one of the four most important religious sites in Asia for devotees of Shiva. Built in the 5th century and later renovated by Malla kings, the site itself is said to have existed from the beginning of the millennium when a Shiva lingam was discovered here.
The largest temple complex in the country, it stretches on both sides of the Bagmati River which is considered holy by Hindus. The main pagoda style temple has a gilded roof, four sides covered in silver, and exquisite wood carvings. Temples dedicated to several other Hindu and Buddhist deities surround the the temple of Pashupatinath.
